Caution Advised at Starved Rock Hiking Trail After 2 Close Mishaps in 7 Days

The Starved Rock State Park hiking trail though marked with signs and barricades installed have witnessed 2 falls in a week. Authorities suggest to serve reminders to hikers to follow the warning signs put up on the hiking trails. Though signs are put up, the hikers usually venture into dangerous areas
8 year old Cary and a 23 year old man are the latest casualties. Though most of the tourists obey the rules, some are tempted to go off the hiking trails for better viewing. Hiking in restricted areas are the prime reason for the mishaps. The Park is known for its 12 miles of hiking trails, 18 marked canyons and sandstone bluffs. A fine of $120 is charged for violating the signs.
