In sad mishap, a woman from Bellingham was admitted to Harborview Medical Centre after gravely injuring herself while hiking on Friday in the Racehorse Creek area south of Kendall.
The 26-year-old hiking enthusiast was hit by a log that she accidently dislodged while on a trip to view a waterfall. The log knocked her off. She suffered a broken pelvis, leg, ankle and foot. Fortunately, help was called by a hiking companion and she was saved.
The reports say that she is now in a stable condition.
Though hiking is a fun activity, it can become extremely dangerous if proper care is not taken. It may become harmful for a person if he is careless or brash. So be careful and stay vigilant.
Happy Hiking!
